rage

Rage is a first-person shooter video game by id Software, released on the 4th October 2011. It will use the company's new OpenGL based id Tech 5 engine.[1] The game was first shown as a tech demo on June 11, 2007, at Apple's WWDC,[5] and was officially announced on August 2, 2007, at QuakeCon. On the same day, a trailer for the game was released by Gametrailers.com.[6] A handheld spin-off has been released for iOS game for pc download full version

Information available indicates that the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world somewhat similar to the movie Mad Max 2 and that of other popular video games such as Fallout.[7] In an interview with GameSpot, designer Tim Willits revealed that the game is set in the near future following the impact of the asteroid 99942 Apophis.[8] Matthew J. Costello, who worked on the plot of Doom 3, is also working on the Rage plot.[9] Influences on the driving and racing gameplay include games such as MotorStorm and Burnout, according to another Willits interview by Shacknews.[10] Players will be able to upgrade their cars with money won from races.[10]

The iOS version of the game does not use a version of id Tech 5 engine technology
Gameplay

The user plays as a survivor of the 2029 Apophis meteorite impact who has just awoken from an Ark (a world-wide movement which took scientists and other significant people, and froze them underground in cryo-pods so they could rebuild Earth). Soon, the player comes to realize that his Ark has malfunctioned and that he is the only survivor. Players will have the ability to augment their cars with various items and upgrades they can gain by completing races, but the game is not specifically a racing title, trailers have shown a mix of mainly first person shooter elements as well as driving elements. (Racing is optional in Rage.)

Rage will also feature some role-playing game (RPG) elements—an inventory system and the capabilities of weapons will be based around types of ammo. Players will also have the option to customize their weapons.[12] There will also be side missions. More on the RPG elements have not been detailed. At E3, Tim Willits stated that at the game's core is a first person shooter with car-combat added in and without the racing being the sole and central focal point. The world will be populated by the human survivors of the impact who were preserved from the asteroid by being buried in the Arks. The world will also be populated by mutants, who will serve as the player's main enemies at least for the first half of the game, as id is currently talking of a major change taking place at the midway point of the game
Multiplayer

Rage has two multiplayer modes: Combat Rally and Legends of the Wasteland. In Combat Rally, up to six players compete in a free-for-all match that takes place in an arena designed to make use of the vehicles. The objective is to collect rally points that appear around the arena while killing your opponents and stealing their points. Legends of the Wasteland is a series of two-player bonus co-op missions based on stories that you hear about as you play the single player campaign
Plot

In Rage's story, the asteroid strikes on August 23, 2029, and the few pockets of survivors are forced to begin a new civilization.

The world is populated by human survivors of the impact, who have come together to form settlements around oases and other practical or habitable locations, including racetracks. These fragile homes are diligently defended by the inhabitants against bandits and mutants, which are divided into various gangs and organizations of their own. Bandits and mutants serve as the player's main enemies for much of the game, and later races, although id Software has hinted at some sort of significant change around the halfway point in the storyline, where races become relevant.

The player emerges into this setting after being preserved inside an underground shelter called an Ark. The Arks are the direct result of the Eden Project, a massive international undertaking in which hundreds of Arks (cryogenic pods) were sealed under the surface of the Earth with twelve people inside each. Each passenger possessed a special ability or trait that, combined with those of the other members, would help them rebuild society. The Eden Project, however, was far less successful than hoped. The player's Ark in particular is in sorry shape upon the start of the game - all of the other residents of the player's Ark are dead (presumably because of the impact), and the equipment of the Ark is destroyed as well, and so the player wakes up alone and uninformed. With no memory of his identity or objective, the player is forced to head for the surface to find sustenance and allies

Plot

Scientists from the near future have begun work on creating a viable time machine. The project results in the creation of two devices, the Alpha Suit, a prototype jump suit, and the Beta Suit, a more advanced, so-called military grade model with features the Alpha Suit lacks such as combat-related timeshifting abilities and an integrated artificial intelligence to prevent the creation of temporal paradoxes.

The director of the project, Dr. Aiden Krone, takes the Alpha Suit and travels into the past. Once there he alters the timeline, placing himself as the ruler of the Krone Magistrate that controls a dystopic world.

The protagonist, a fellow scientist whose name is never spoken (never mentioned in the game or manual), then takes the Beta Suit and follows Dr. Krone back to the year 1939 (in an alternate timestream) to a place called Alpha District. During the transport, parts of the Beta suit are damaged forcing the protagonist to assist the Occupant Rebellion against Dr. Krone in hopes of salvaging parts from the Alpha suit.

He is eventually confronted by Krone in a giant war-machine which nearly destroys the Occupant Rebellion, but he succeeds in defeating Krone. As an incapacitated Krone emerges from the wreckage, the protagonist kills him and retrieves the part required to repair the Beta suit. He is thanked by the Occupant commander and returns to the original timeline to save his girlfriend who had been killed by the explosion Krone had caused. He shuts down the bomb and walks up to his girlfriend, who begins to wake up. She reaches out to him although not sure of who he is. As he begins to remove his mask the AI in the suit warns that a paradox is imminent and transports him away.
Gameplay

The key feature of TimeShift is the player's ability to control time: slowing, stopping or even rewinding time more or less at will. This allows a player to stop time to dodge an incoming projectile or steal an enemy's weapon. Specific time-related puzzles also require these abilities. The player's abilities also affect the color of their environment in such that slowing time produces a blueshift, rewinding it produces a yellow haze, and stopping time creates a white filter "haze". The player must use them wisely to make its way through the game. In some parts of the game your time powers are lengthened
Development

The game was originally going to be published by Atari, but publishing rights switched to Sierra on April 20, 2006. On August 31, 2006, TimeShift was delayed for a second time.

Because the game had been delayed several times and was not mentioned very much in gaming news, the press thought that the project had been abandoned. However, on April 10, 2007, Vivendi Games announced that they were giving TimeShift a complete overhaul and were fixing many bugs.[3]

One of a number of changes is that Michael Swift, the game's original protagonist, will not be appearing in the game. After the retooling of the game, Saber introduced "the suit" as the time control device, making the protagonist anonymous. Saber said that this change was to let the player imagine that "you are the protagonist".

Initially, TimeShift was announced for Windows and Xbox 360, but at the 2007 SCEA Gamer's Day, it was announced that the game would also be appearing on the PlayStation 3. All iterations of the revamped game came out on time or early, on all platforms, world-wide in holiday 2007

Plot

In May 1986, after the events of Back to the Future III, Marty McFly is disheartened to see Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown's laboratory being sold off by the bank, his friend having disappeared in the months since. After recovering Doc's notebook outlining time travel from his father George, Marty is surprised by the sudden appearance of the DeLorean time machine outside the lab, but with no one but Doc's dog, Einstein, inside. Marty had thought the machine was destroyed, but a pre-recorded message from Doc explains that he had programmed the car to return to the present should he become stuck in the past. Marty follows a clue in the car to the home of bitter, elderly Edna Strickland, a former reporter in Hill Valley. From her newspaper collection, Marty finds Doc will be killed in 1931 by the mobster Kid Tannen, Biff's father, for burning down his speakeasy.

Marty and Einstein use the DeLorean to travel to 1931 to rescue Doc. Marty encounters younger versions of both Edna, a morally upright citizen, and Emmett, a lanky teenager helping his father with courthouse duties but trying to pursue a career in science against his father's wishes. Marty also encounters Artie, his grandfather, who acts as Kid Tannen's accountant, who fears crossing his boss. Marty convinces Artie to testify against Kid Tannen, placing the mobster under arrest and preventing Doc's death. Marty later rescues Doc during transport, and they return to the DeLorean. However, Marty finds himself disappearing, which Doc attributes to interfering in his own timeline; as a result of Marty's action, Artie will later be killed by Tannen. The two return to earlier in the day to convince Artie to leave town for a while for protection, enlisting both Edna and Emmett's help to avoid encountering their earlier selves. Marty and Doc prepare to leave for the future, unaware their actions have caused Emmett to start dating Edna.

When Doc and Marty arrive at the present, Doc soon vanishes, and the driveless car crashes into a billboard. Marty finds that Hill Valley has become a totalitarianism society, overseen by "Citizen Brown". Finding his parents and girlfiend Jennifer unhappy with this new history, Marty discovers that Emmett forwent his science background and instead married Edna, who prompted him to construct the morally-correct city backed on his technological knowhow. Marty manages his way to see Citizen Brown, and explains how this is not his real future, showing him Doc's notebook. Brown realizes his true calling, and makes the repairs to the Delorean. Edna attempts to stop the two from leaving, but they are able to outwit her.

Brown's repairs to the time machine are not perfect, and they end up in 1931 several months after Emmett and Edna have begun dating. Marty finds the perfect opportunity to set Emmett on the right path through the Hill Valley Science Expo, but must break up Emmett and Edna's relationship. As Marty works with Emmett, Brown speaks to Edna to distract her, but instead finds sympathy for her. When Marty returns, having successfully ended the relationship, Brown questions whether Marty is sure that his timeline is the correct one, and that Marty is selflessly only considering himself, and not the feelings of Edna or Brown. Marty refuses to consider these sides and insists his version of the future is the right one. Brown walks away, later encountering a heartbroken Edna and scheming with her to disrupt Emmett's demonstration by kidnapping Emmett. Marty is able to rescue Emmett, and later help him to make amends with his father, allowing Emmett to successfully demonstrate his flying car. Edna runs away and steals the DeLorean, soon disappearing into time; Brown is hit by the car and realizes his future has been unwritten, and thanks Marty for showing him the truth before he fades away.

Emmett leaves the expo and thanks Marty for his help; Marty gives him a newspaper clipping to be read in the future that allows Doc to arrive shortly with the DeLorean. As the two regroup, they find Hill Valley fading away around them, leaving only themselves and the DeLorean. They encounter Marty's great-grandfather, who tells them that there once was a nascent town called Hill Valley but it was burned down to the ground in a fire. He directs the two to an elderly Edna who has forgotten much of her past, but are able to coax out of her that she was responsible for not only the burning down of Hill Valley, but of Kid Tannen's speakeasy that Doc was wrongfully imprisoned for. The two travel to 1876, and successfully stop the younger Edna from burning down the tavern, and then chase her in her copy of the DeLorean to override its controls and return her to 1931. She crashes into the side of the jail, where she is arrested by the police, fully admitting her arson crime, while the second DeLorean copy becomes unstable in time and fades away. As they say their goodbyes to Emmett and Artie, Marty is shocked to find that Artie is dating Trixie, Kid Tannen's former moll that helped turn him in; Marty believes his future is in danger as he does not recount Trixie as her grandmother, but Doc takes him back to 1986 before he can interfere.

There, Marty finds his life as the same as he left it. Doc reveals that the reason he went back in time was to compile a history of the McFly family as a graduation gift for Marty, and had discovered that his grandmother was Trixie but had changed her name after her marriage to Artie. Marty does find some things have changed for the better: as Doc's relationship with his father was repaired, he now spends part time in his lab, and the estate sale has just become a ordinary yard sale, while Edna is now happily married to Kid Tannen, having developed their romance while in jail together. Suddenly, three separate DeLoreans, with three separate Martys appear, and demand that Marty and Doc return with them to the future, but each insisting that their own future is the only correct one. Curious on this new development, Marty and Doc set off in their DeLorean

A console version (featuring the same basic game engine, models, textures, and artwork, but with significantly different game mechanics, gameplay, storyline and features), Rainbow Six 3, was developed for the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube video game consoles. A port was also released on Mac OS X on December 19, 2003. Due to the console version's success on the Xbox and the popularity of its subscription-based online multiplayer service, Xbox Live, an Xbox-exclusive semi-sequel was released in 2004 titled Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow. The next full game in the Rainbow Six series, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, was released in 2006
Plot

Raven Shield's story begins in 1945, as two members of the Nazi-sponsored Ustaše regime in the Independent State of Croatia manage to escape the country with huge amounts of Holocaust-era loot just before Allied troops move into the capital. Sixty years later, in 2005, elite multinational counter-terrorism task-force Rainbow finds itself investigating a series of attacks by Neo-Fascist terrorists against South American oil interests and European financial institutions.

Rainbow eventually traces the source of the attacks to Argentina, where Argentinian billionaire businessman Nikola Gospic and far-right Presidential candidate Alvero Guitierrez are implicated. Rainbow learns that Gospic is an escaped Ustashe official, one of the two men shown escaping with Holocaust loot in the game's opening cutscene. Dying of liver cancer, Gospic plans to leave the world one last legacy of hate from the Second World War by using his vast wealth to resurrect global Fascism. To this end, Gospic has acquired a large amount of chemical weapons, including VX nerve gas and blister gas.

Gospic, through his ownership of a meat-packing plant, intends to contaminate large quantities of beef with VX, then ship the contaminated beef to dozens of countries across the world. Rainbow foils his scheme by raiding the meat-packing plant and confiscating the VX gas. Gospic then attempts to attack Rio De Janeiro with a blister gas bomb hidden inside a parade float in the Festa Junina parade. Rainbow launches a final raid on Gospic's operation, foiling Gospic's plan to attack the parade, and killing Gospic himself.

Afterwards, John Clark interrogates the captured Guitierrez and learns the full details of Gospic's plot. Gospic's plan was to kill hundreds of thousands of people in South America, creating an economic crisis and causing the price of South American oilfields to plummet. Gospic's heirs would then buy up the oilfields using Gospic's wealth, and use the massive oil proceeds to finance a new international Fascist movement.

Gospic was financing Guitierrez's presidential campaign, in exchange for political protection from Guitierrez. Guitierrez explains that Gospic was a raven picking the bones of an old war, and that Guitierrez would be his shield until his children were ready to fly. However, Guitierrez admits that since Gospic is now dead and he himself is going to jail, none of that matters anymore; Rainbow has won

A revised version of Metal Slug 2, titled Metal Slug X, was released on March 1999 for the Neo Geo MVS. It fixed problems with slowdown present in Metal Slug 2, and increased the difficulty. Metal Slug X also introduced a few new elements to the Metal Slug 2 game system. New weapons and items were added, such as the "Iron Lizard" and the "Drop Shot". The enemy placement and bosses were re-arranged as well.

Differences from Metal Slug 2
game for pc download full version
* Much of the music has been slightly remixed or altered.
* Many stages had the time of day changed. Instead of being simply at day or at night, the stages can take place at dusk, twilight, or sunset.
* It is now possible for the player character to become fat by collecting food items in every stage after Mission 2, while it was previously only possible in Mission 4.
* There is less slowdown than in Metal Slug 2.
* All levels contain an increased enemy count and changed enemy placement as well as enemy characters themselves being changed, including altered boss placement.
* Vehicle types and locations are usually changed.
* There are generally more power ups, prisoners, and items (particularly food), which are often hidden and must be shot to obtain.
* Many environmental elements have altered reactions to being shot, such as exploding with unexpected results or randomly spewing out items or enemies.
* Heavier damage versions are available for the heavy machine gun, flameshot, shotgun, laser rifle, and rocket launcher. When compared with their normal counterparts, each big/super weapon deals more damage, has a more "fierce" appearance, and has a wider (or longer) area of impact. If the player happens to be fat while using these heavier weapons, a new appearance takes on and the player does even more damage.
* Several new weapons were added to the game: Stones, Iron Lizard, Enemy Chaser, Super Grenade, and Drop Shot. A new Metal Slug, the Golden Metal Slug, was added to Mission 3.
* The original art for Metal Slug is shown at the end of the game while the credits are rolling, instead of a black screen used in Metal Slug 2.

Metal Slug X was ported to the Neo Geo AES (May 1999) and the PlayStation (January 2001). The PlayStation version was released in North America and the PAL region by Agetec. The PlayStation version features the same Combat School mode previously featured in the Neo Geo CD versions of the first two games

Blood Bowl

Blood Bowl free pc game full version download is a Fantasy Football game created by Jervis Johnson for the British games company Games Workshop (but now under the aegis of their Specialist Games division) as a parody of American Football.[1] The game was first released in 1987 and has been re-released in new editions since. Blood Bowl is set in an alternate version of the Warhammer Fantasy setting, populated by traditional fantasy elements such as human warriors, goblins, dwarfs, elves, orcs and trolls.

The most recent purchasable edition of the game contains a printed copy of Living Rulebook 1.0. However, the most up-to-date version of the game's rules is the Competition Rules Pack, which is available as a downloadable file from Games Workshop's website (formerly known as LRB6 or Living Rule Book 6.0).

Gameplay

Blood Bowl is a two-player, turn-based board game that typically uses 28 mm miniatures to represent a contest between two teams on a playing field. A board containing a grid overlay represents the field. Using dice, cards, and counters, the players attempt to score higher than each other by entering the opponent's end zone with a player who possesses the ball.

The "Blood" in Blood Bowl is represented by the violent actions available to players. Game play is based on a hybrid of American Football and Rugby. Players may attempt to injure or maim the opposition in order to make scoring easier by reducing the number of enemy players on the field.

The player races are drawn from the ranks of fantasy races and have characteristics that reflect the abilities of those races. Elves tend to be agile and good at scoring, while Dwarfs and Orcs are more suited to a grinding, physical style of play. Players are also divided up into positions suited to their role on the field, including Throwers, Catchers, and Linemen.

In league play, players gain additional skills and abilities based on their accumulation of experience points. Players face potential injury or even death on the field throughout their careers. Teams improve by the purchase of off-field staff such as cheerleaders, assistant coaches, and apothecaries

Rules

Teams consist of eleven to sixteen players, of which eleven are allowed on the pitch at any one time. Each player is represented by an appropriate miniature and has statistics and skills that dictate his or her effect on play. There are four player statistics:

* MA (Move Allowance) indicates how fast the player is.
* ST (Strength) indicates the player's basic fighting ability.
* AG (Agility) indicates how well the player handles the ball and evades opposing players.
* AV (Armor Value) indicates how difficult it is to injure the player.

In addition, players may have special skills that affect any number of circumstances in play. Some of the more commonly used skills are Block (for fighting), Dodge (for dodging out of an opponents tackle zone), Sure Hands (for picking up the ball), Pass (for throwing the ball), and Catch (for catching the ball). These skills are not necessary to perform their corresponding actions, but will give the player an advantage.

In his or her turn, a coach may have each player take one of the following actions:

* Move - Move the player through empty squares (opposing players may try to trip the moving player if he or she moves close to them).
* Block - Fight an adjacent opposing player who is standing.

In addition, the following four actions may be taken by one player per team turn:

* Blitz - Move and then Block an adjacent opposing player who is standing (or Block and then Move).
* Foul - Move and then foul an adjacent opposing player who is prone (or just foul an adjacent player who is prone).
* Pass - Move and then throw the ball (or just throw the ball).
* Hand-Off - Move and then give the ball to an adjacent player (or just give the ball to an adjacent player).

Some skills also allow for special player actions.

If a player action fails, the team turn ends immediately (with some minor exceptions). This defining game mechanic is called the turnover rule. The turnover rule makes every action tense for the coaches, and together with the four-minute rule (a team turn must be completed within four minutes) it can make the game very fast-paced. Some rules such as the eleven player limit may be broken as long as the opposing coach does not notice; other rules are strictly off-limits. (For example: Failing to move the re-roll counter in order to get a free re-roll
Teams

Each team represents one race (with lesser allies) typically equivalent to the armies in Warhammer Fantasy Battle. The game box supplies the coaches with players enough to field Human and Orc teams, which are also the teams recommended to newcomers for ease of learning.

The different races progress at different rates, so not all teams start at equal strength. Some become more dominant only after they accrue some experience. Certain teams, such as the Halflings and the Ogres, are designed to provide more of a challenge for experienced players due to their built-in weaknesses
Background

The Blood Bowl universe has its own fictional background story which establishes the tone and spirit of the game. Additional background exists to describe the demeanor and character of the Blood Bowl players with frequent reference to rule breaking and excessive violence in a lighthearted manner. The over-the-top nature of the game is reflected through the game's mechanics, including the use of stylized secret weapons, the ability for large teammates to throw small teammates down field (even while they possess the ball), as well as in-game effects like fans throwing rocks and injuring players prior to kickoff.

Blood Bowl includes numerous tongue in cheek references to real life products and companies. The deity overseeing Blood Bowl is Nuffle - a pun on the pronunciation of NFL. The game spoofs at least three real-world companies, including McDonald's (McMurty's), Budweiser (Bloodweiser), and Adidas (Orcidas). Many team names in the game's background are spoofs as well such as the Orcland Raiders (Oakland Raiders) and the Darkside Cowboys (Dallas Cowboys). Famous sporting personalities are parodied as well, with the most famous (and oldest) coach in Blood Bowl's background being Tomolandry the Undying (Tom Landry), and one of the most recently added stars being the Ogre thrower, Brick Far'th (Brett Favre).

With the advent of the 3rd edition, Blood Bowl moved closer to the traditional Warhammer Fantasy Battle world by changing the miniatures to look more similar to their Warhammer Fantasy Battle counterparts. Jervis Johnson, designer of the game, has admitted this was not the best direction for the game, and has since stated that the Blood Bowl world is similar to, but definitely not the same as, the Warhammer world.[2] Recent changes to the rules reflect this, and newer miniatures for the game look more sporty in nature
